OBESITY A BIG PROBLEM



The word obesity means to be too over-weight. In other words, we can say that to be too fat. Obesity is considered a disease that is very common and vulnerable. It is found in all kinds of people irrespective of gender and age. It is an abnormality in adipose tissues. When the fat increases around the waist and trunk or incidentally around the body it causes many problems and direct effects on the body. Obesity a big problem has risen intensely a few decades before. And now obesity affects more than 300 million people all around the world.

OBESITY IN DEVELOPED COUNTRIES

Obesity is a common problem that is being faced by both developed and developing countries. Researches and studies show that developed countries are more affected by obesity as compare to developing countries. It is said by some societies that it is a symbol of high status. Obesity is the 5th important factor of contributing disease in developing countries. In the United States, obesity is a big problem as well. Over 26% of adults are obese, and 33% of Americans are obese.

Obesity has risen on a large scale a few decades before. In 1995 200million people were obese but now the number of obese adults has increased to 300million over the world. Most of the obese people are related to developed countries. The level of obesity in developed countries has risen by 8% in the past two decades. .In developing countries, 115 million people are suffering from this problem.

OBESITY IN PAKISTAN

In Pakistan, obesity is a health issue that has come in the notice a few years back. The use of oil and fats in our foods, unhealthy food, and changing lifestyles are the main causes of obesity. Unfortunately, Pakistan is ranked 165 out of 194 in the list of the world's “fattest countries.”
Research shows that people living in Pakistan are more affected by obesity as compared to small cities or rural areas. Most of the obese population is female. Women are more overweight as compare to men. It is sorry to say that in South Asia Pakistan is at the top of the list of people with Diabetes.

 DISEASES FROM OBESITY

Obesity causes many diseases like Diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, cancer, Gallstones, and stroke among the people. 

CAUSES OF OBESITY

o   Inactivity: Inactivity means physically inactive this is one of the most important reasons for overweight.
o   Excess in eating: Eating more than the body’s requirement.
o   Less sleep: sleep less than 8 hours
o   . Large no of carbs: Eating foods containing a high amount of carbohydrates
o   Depression: Remain sad n hopeless
o   Lack of knowledge about health
o   Any specific disease
o   Rising amount of calories: Eating high-calorie foods
o   Less use of water
o   Inherited Disease


TREATMENT OF OBESITY 

Now the question is how to control obesity? This is difficult but not impossible. Obesity can be controlled by applying these rules

  • Physically Active
  • Balance Diet
  • Weight loss supplement,
  • Sleep
  • Exercise, 
  • Use of water

Treatment of obesity including weight loss is possible when those who are overweight will active physically, they should start daily physical activity’ and should eat a balanced diet mean a food containing fewer calories and a low amount of carbs. Their food should be contained in fruits and green leafy vegetables. Weight can be lost by using supplements. But supplements can be used after the advice of a physician. For the treatment of obesity sleep of 8 hours is compulsory. The main role in losing weight is working out mean daily 10 to 15 minutes exercise. The people who are suffering from obesity have to drink 8 to12 glass of water.

People lost their weight but unfortunately, they start regaining their weight. Those people who are suffering from the problem of regaining weight should consult their doctor.
